About Drone Atlas
Drone Atlas collects drone rules from every country in one place: flying, registration, pilot tests, Remote ID, insurance, and what most sites skip: bringing your drone across a border. Every fact links to an official source and shows when it was last checked.
Using the map
- Drag, scroll sideways or use W A S D / the arrow keys to move. The world repeats endlessly left and right.
- Zoom with Q and E, the + and − buttons, a pinch, or Ctrl/⌘ + scroll.
- Set your drone's weight and camera under "My drone", then pick "For my drone" to colour the map by what you would need to do.
How the scores work
Both scores start at 100. Each requirement subtracts points, so a score can always be traced back to the rules behind it.
- Special situation: danger / caution (war, martial law, blanket bans)−30 / −10
- Operator registration (under 250 g threshold: −15)−10

"Depends" requirements count half, and unknown ones a third. Combined = 60 % fly + 40 % import.
How the data stays current
- Weekly check
An AI agent re-reads each country's official aviation and customs pages and scans the news for new drone laws.
- Proposed change
When something changed, it drafts an update with the source quotes. Nothing goes live automatically.
- Human review
A person checks the change against the source and publishes it. The "last verified" date updates.

Privacy
Visits are counted anonymously: the page, the site you came from and your device type (phone, tablet or desktop). No cookies, no IP addresses, no tracking across sites, and nothing is counted if your browser asks not to be tracked. An account stores only your email, your settings and the countries you save.
